At the weekend we went to Brean Down,
it used to have a fort there and in the 1st and 2nd World wars
they used it as a defence outpost.

I saw the very rare White Rock-rose,
it only grows in Somerset and Devon.

First Cowslips I've seen this year.

Today we went to Troopers Hill nature reserve
which is about 10 minutes walk from our house
we see lots of flowers there when we go

Garlic mustard with a Mining bee,
Troopers Hill is one of the only places to see them around here.

The Blackthorn is it bloom.

UA new species of fungi has been found in Wentwood South Wales V

it is called Aprilis Imbecillus and it is an Amanita which is very poisonous.

Unfortunately I do not have a pic of it as it was only found at the start of this week.

It is sulphur yellow both cap and stem with rusty red gills and has a sickly smell.

It mainly grows with Pines.
