Prince

I found a mushroom called the Prince
Agaricus augustus
it is quite rare, we found it in Ashton Court (a country estate near bristol)
It is a prized edi
ble species...but I did not eat it.
The Prince is a related species to the mushrooms you wood see in most supermarkets.

Kew

This week I visited Kew Gardens.
I was luckily enough to meet with a mycologist.
She showed me a mushroom called Darwin's Fungus,
the laboratory she works in and the fungarium. This contains over 1 million specimens,
including 45,000 types.

I did not take any pics when I met the mycologist in Jodrell Lab.
These following pictures are from the rest of my day.

We went up the Tree Top Walkway, it is 18 meters above the ground. It is this high so you can
experience tree top life.
